As school starts up again, a lot of you are adjusting to a new, hectic schedule again. When that happens, at least for me, I lose track of myself pretty easily! 🙂 It’s very easy to get caught up in making sure others are taken care of before paying attention to yourself. Don’t forget, with a very busy season upon us and approaching, to take some time for yourself and pay attention to your health.
Now might be the time to review your supplement regimen with a good, food-based multivitamin. Also, as October approaches, we won’t be able to get Vitamin D from the sun anymore, so researching a good vitamin D supplement is a good idea. We use Carlson’s Lemon Flavored Cod Liver Oil [Whole Foods] in case anyone needs ideas.
Also, be sure and take in enough protein, try and eat some with every meal. It will help you stay fuller longer and help your energy levels remain constant.
Get enough exercise! Of course we would say that…HAHA! We own a gym! 🙂 Try and take some time for yourself by getting enough cardiovascular exercise, and also try and weight train at least a couple of times a week. We have a program in the gym where we alternate weeks, Strength and Endurance, just for people to follow if they want a little variety from week to week. Here is a link explaining that system:
As they say on the airlines…”Please secure your own oxygen mask first before helping others”. The same is true in our lives…we have to take care of ourselves so that we can be ready to take care of others in this very busy time! 🙂
