Strength Week is off to a strong start! :)

It’s been a fun week so far in class.  Our focus, both on the class side and the gym side, is on Strength.  Of course, you can choose whether or not you want to follow our vibe…you are invited!  🙂  The skinny of strength week is to focus on building lean muscle.  So, this week, we are doing three strength workouts (on the gym side….or in Bodysculpt, Boot Camp, or Yoga Classes), and at least two cardio workouts of your choice…either on the gym side or in Zumba or Bokwa class).  On the class side, we’ve had some fun with strength week…doing less reps, using heavier weights in Bodysculpt, or just holding poses longer in boot camp.  It’s been fun!  Remember to eat more lean, beautiful protein this week so that your body can recover from those harder workouts!  🙂

A lean, muscular body burns more calories…so if you’re not much of a strength person and focus strictly on the treadmills and ellipticals, you may want to try some strength workouts.  You will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly your body will adapt and change to a new habit.  If you have any questions about what you should do, come in during our management hours and see Steve, and he can point you in the right direction based on what it is that you like to do.

Oh!  And if you’ve purchased our starter kit, this week you should be taking the Energizer vitamins…to pump you up!  🙂
