Ever wonder what type of exercise is best for you? I’ve written before that the exercise that you do consistently is the best! And, of course that is true. However, there are certain types of exercises that will make you feel fantastic in different ways.
For instance, a nice run or brisk walk will get your body moving and your blood flowing. It’s great for moving food through the body and making you feel..well..lighter! High intensity calisthenics, like what can be found in a Boot Camp routine, are fantastic for stimulating your lymphatic system and expelling toxins. Jumping on a trampoline counts here, too! And..of course weight lifting is good for building lean mass, which, over time, burns more calories. Weight lifting is also great for maintaining youthful strength and bone density as we age gracefully into our late 30′s, 40′s, and beyond.
Any exercise will do you great, but if you do tend to work out regularly, switch up your routine. Don’t just run or lift weights. Add variety into your routine and your body will thank you!
